Eat That Cake - Please!

We recently delivered a 3-D cake replicating a favorite calf from a new herd of babies. When we brought the cake into the restaurant, the recipient just stared at it; no smiles, no tears...nothing.  My first thought was that he hated it but was too polite to say anything. Later that same evening, his daughter sent me a message with a picture of the cake on her kitchen counter...un cut.

She said that her father and mother loved it. "Great!" I replied but did they eat any of it. Two days passed and no answer. I sent her another message and this time she replied that they had cut into it and it was delicious. Whew!

We often hear from people that the cake is too nice to cut into. Well friends, you can't keep the cake forever. After-all there is cake in there somewhere. If we make your art piece out of rice krispy treats and gumpaste it will last forever...well almost forever but if we have cake in that piece of artwork, I am afraid that you will have to take the knife to it...the sooner the better.
